View Patient across facilities option can be accessed from the Practice Defaults screen. To access View Patient across facilities, expand left panel, select Administration > Practice > Practice Defaults, and then select View Patient across facilities option.

Selecting this check box will not display all the patients on the Patient Search screen, irrespective of which facility you are logged in. If this check box is deselected, only the patients of the facility in which you are logged in will display.

Practice Specific Configuration:

Show Patients Across Facilities + All Patients option: When you select this check and radio button, you will be able to view patients across all facilities irrespective of which facility you are logged into.

If you clear the check box, you will not be able to view patients of other facility.

Show Patients Across Facilities + Selected Patients option: When you select this check and radio button, you will get an option “Allow Across Facilities” when adding a patient. You can then decide whether you want this patient to be viewed across facilities or not. If you want this patient to be viewed, select the “Allow Across Facilities” check box.

User Specific Configuration:

You may want to provide an access to some users to view patients across facilities overriding the Practice Specific Configuration. This section helps you to do so.

Select the roles/users in this section who should be able to view patients above Practice Specific Configuration and select the “Show Patients Across Facilities” check box, and then click Add.
