Practice users can reschedule the appointments as per the practice or patient requirements. To reschedule a patient visit, click on the patient appointment listing in the Scheduler and select 'Reschedule Appointment' option from the context menu. This will redirect you to the “Reschedule Appointment” screen.
To reschedule the patient visit:
1. | Select the new appointment date (if necessary) from the Date field. |
2. | Select new appointment time (if necessary) from that provider’s available time slots by selecting it from the Time drop-down. |
| Note: Only available time slots for the selected provider are displayed. |
3. | Select the appropriate facility from the Facility drop-down, in case of any changes in the facility. |
4. | Edit the other details (if necessary). |
5. | Upon entering all details, click the Reschedule Appointment button to reschedule the appointment. |
Notes:
• | The canceled appointments can also be rescheduled to another time slot of same date or other date based on the slot availability. Following are the scenarios that need to be taken care while changing the visit status or rescheduling canceled appointments: |
• | If an appointment is already been scheduled on same date as that of the canceled appointment, a message is displayed for the user confirmation before changing the status. |
• | If another patient has booked an appointment for the same time slot as of the canceled appointment, a message “This slot is already booked” is displayed so that the user can reschedule the appointment to another date. |
• | In some cases, patient appointment reminders might have been scheduled and sent to the patients for the canceled appointments. In such cases, upon changing the visit status to Pending or Confirm, a message will be displayed intimating the user to send appointment reminder manually by clicking the Patient Reminder (green receiver icon) from the Schedule Appointment screen. |
